Admissions, Enrollment, and Tuition Management

Phase 1: Admissions

We hope you have had the opportunity to come and visit our campus. Tours of the school are given upon request and can be scheduled by contacting the school office. If you wish to visit a classroom, speak to a teacher or meet with the principal, please call (618-344-3153) or email the school office (josborn@gslcs.org) and we will schedule a time for you. It would be our privilege to have your child attend our school and have the opportunity to partner in the education of your child.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School admits students of any race, gender, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made to the students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, color, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational programs.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is partnered with FACTS Admissions and Enrollment. The FACTS system allows families to submit applications quickly and efficiently.

The Phase 1 Admissions process is for families that are new to Good Shepherd. Our Admissions Counselor and Principal will review your application and our school office can provide you with status on the review process. When the application has been received you will receive a phone call from our school office to schedule a family interview and an assessment testing for your child. Upon completion of your family interview and assessment testing, your application will be forwarded to the School Board for review.  Upon School Board approval, you will receive an acceptance letter with enrollment instructions.

Note to Returning Families – Our returning families do not need to complete the admissions process. FACTS will send your system access information to the email address that Good Shepherd has on file. You will start in Phase 2 – Enrollment. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Phase 2: Enrollment

Once your application is approved, we will send a confirmation via email so you can start the enrollment process. Please note that you should complete a separate enrollment for each child in your family. The FACTS system is exceptionally intuitive and will walk you through the process. You can ensure that your student secures a position in a class by submitting your registration payment with the application. The registration fees are non-refundable.

Once the enrollment process is completed, Good Shepherd will generate a tuition contract for your student in Phase 3, Tuition Management.

Look for your confirmation email soon!

Phase 3: Tuition Management

Our mission at Good Shepherd is to provide a quality Christian education. Partnering with a third party for tuition management allows Good Shepherd to keep its primary focus on education rather than administration. Our relationship with FACTS provides parents with more payment options and methods of payment.

Once your enrollment is submitted and your registration is paid in full, FACTS will send you a tuition contract to establish your payment preferences.

If your student is already enrolled, you can log into your account using the link provided below.

Financial Aid Assessment

Providing quality Christian education is an integral part of the mission of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School. We strive to provide affordable solutions for families by subsidizing every child’s education. We understand that family circumstances change; therefore, we accept applications throughout the year.

The Lutheran Elementary Association (LESA) and its Building Blocks program offer tuition assistance to children whose families struggle with the rising costs of a Lutheran elementary school tuition.

Tuition assistance is available on the basis of demonstrated need. If you believe that your resources are not sufficient to meet the total costs of a Good Shepherd Lutheran School education, you are encouraged to apply. Submitting your financial aid application ASAP provides you with the best possible opportunity for assistance.

FACTS provides a framework through which household need can be measured fairly and equitably. Recommendations from FACTS are used by the Good Shepherd Lutheran School award committee in accordance with its policies to determine the award amount. Final awards notices will be mailed by the committee.

Application Information

Applications for tuition assistance may be completed online at https://online.factsmgt.com/ga/aid/inst/4FG82. A $35.00 processing fee is made payable to FACTS at the end of the application. Failure to pay the processing fee may delay the evaluation. A financial aid worksheet is available to provide guidance as to what information is needed for the application. Have your 2022 federal income tax documents and W2 statements available, as well as a general idea of your household expenses. Your taxes do not have to be filed, but they have to be prepared. Allow approximately 30 minutes to complete your application.

The following supporting documentation must be submitted to FACTS via mail or fax prior to application assessment.
