Athletics

The athletic program is a part of the ministry of Good Shepherd Lutheran School. Each activity and program is dedicated to our Lord and Savior, thus inspiring each student to dedicate all they do to His service. It is essential that the conduct of players, parents, coaches, and fans, is exemplary. The below Handbook gives necessary guidelines and specific expectations so that participation in the athletic program is at the highest level of Christian sportsmanship.

Pee-Wee Basketball

What is Pee-Wees?

Pee Wee Basketball is an instructional basketball program for grades 2-4. The girl’s season runs from late August to mid-October. The boy’s season runs from the beginning of January through the end of February. They have seven Saturday morning practices. Their coach is Mrs. Rachel Cross. Their season ends with their “big game night”. The goals of the program are as follows:

  1. Introduce the players to the game of basketball
  2. Teach introductory skills
  3. Teach the importance of sharing and team play
  4. Enjoy a Great game!
