Good Shepherd Lutheran Summer Fun 2024
(For Children Age 3 Years old to entering Grade 8 at Good Shepherd Lutheran School)


The Good Shepherd Summer Fun will serve the campers and their families by providing summer, quality childcare in a Christian setting for children entering grades two through eight.

Only students from Good Shepherd are eligible to attend.

Ten One-Week* Sessions:

Session 1: May 29-31 Queens and Kings
Session 2: June 3-7 Lost and Found
Session 3: June 10-14 Down on the Farm
Session 4: June 17-21 Lions and Tigers – O My!
Session 5: June 24-28 VBS
Session 6: July 1-5** We Love the USA
Session 7: July 8-12 Ranch Fun
Session 8: July 15-19 Big Fish and Whales
Session 9: July 22-26 Sports
Session 10: July 29- Aug. 2 We are Friends

* May sign up for individual days. (2 day weekly minimum)
**Closed for Memorial Day – May 27 and July 4

Half Day 8:15 AM – 11:30 AM
(includes snack)

Full Day 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
(includes morning and afternoon snacks; students bring a sack lunch)

Extended Day 6:30 AM – 6 PM
(includes morning and afternoon snacks; students bring a sack lunch)
$48/day – $205/week

Registration Fee due at Sign Up: $45 per child

**Hours: 6:30AM – 6:00 PM, based on need

Camp sessions include daily Jesus time with a Bible story for the week as well as games, crafts and activities that reflect the Bible story theme. Our camp is staffed with Christian adult workers who have experience and/or training in working with children. Your child will receive the same quality care and education that s/he receives in our school year program.

There will be a water day every Friday and other special events relating to the theme.

Summer Fun Information

● 1300 Belt Line Road – Collinsville
● Preschool students and students entering 1st grade in the fall – Early Childhood Center
● Students entering Grades 2 – 8 – TRACKS area
● Both locations are accessed from the lower level parking lot that faces Belt Line
● All students will enter and be picked up at the Early Childhood entrance.

● Weekly charges should be paid in full the first day your child attends in a given week. No child will be admitted without payment.
● Payment is by cash or check made out to Good Shepherd Lutheran School or charged to your school account

● Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided.
● Full and Extended Day campers are to bring a sack lunch that does not require refrigeration or heating. Campers may bring their own drink or drink water.
● Extended Day campers may bring breakfast that does not require refrigeration or heating.
● Lunch and breakfast may not contain foods that contain peanuts or tree nuts. Sun butter is a tasty alternative to peanut butter.
● Each camper should bring a refillable water bottle that is labeled and will stay at camp throughout the week.

● Campers should wear play clothes with respect to the school dress code: closed toed shoes with socks, shorts should extend 3 – 4” above the top of the knee, girls’ bathing suits should be of one-piece design and boys’ swimwear should fit appropriately.
● Your child WILL get dirty, as we have a nature-based program. Don’t send any clothes or shoes that cannot get dirty.
● Preschool campers should send an extra pair of clothes in a Ziploc bag in case of spills or accidents.
● Bring a backpack or bag for take-home projects or papers.

● Full and Extended Day campers will have a quiet rest time each afternoon.
● Full and Extended Day Early Childhood Center campers should bring a small, light blanket (no larger than 40 x 48”) and may also bring a small pillow and small stuffed animal or doll.

● We spend as much time as we are able outside. Please apply sunscreen to your child before camp. If your child is in the Full or Extended Day program, please also send a container of sunscreen labeled with your child’s name for use in the afternoon.

● All students will be dropped off and picked up at the Early Childhood Center.
